How do we design a solid financing strategy? Are proposed increases in tariffs affordable to the population? How do we establish a public-private partnership? What should our business plan include? How do we ensure a frictionless procurement process? Does the service contract provide the intended incentives?

These are some of the questions that our team of financial analysts and lawyers help our customers with at different levels - national, local and project levels.

Integrated consultancy

Because we are part of a large, knowledge-based organisation, we can draw on the extensive expertise on technical conditions in most sectors.

We work in virtually all sectors, including agriculture, building, education, energy, environment, health, industry and transport - in the EU and outside the EU.

Business plans and feasibility studies

In Africa, COWI is involved in preparing business plans for private and municipal companies wishing to do better. For example, COWI carried out an economic and financial analysis of the Ugandan National Water and Sewerage Corporation seeking to improve investment efficiency in this sector by changing traditional funding modalities.

COWI has also developed feasibility studies mainly of infrastructure projects. We manage several high-profile grants and funds in Africa, particularly in health, rural development and in the private sectors.
